Grimes, Iowa – Kennybrook Village was recently named the Grimes Business of the Year for 2021 by the Grimes Chamber & Economic Development.

To be named the Grimes Business of the Year, a business must first be nominated. Then, the nominations are reviewed, discussed, and finally voted on by the Grimes Chamber & Economic Development Board of Directors.

Kayla Burns, COO of Grimes Chamber & Economic Development, said, “Kennybrook Village received this award for multiple reasons. First and foremost, it was a recognition for the great work that you did over the past year and a half. But, beyond that, it is a recognition of both your initial and ongoing investment in this community — an investment of both time and capital. This community and organization appreciate Kennybrook Village immensely.”

Jayce Wilson, executive director of Kennybrook Village, said, “We love the city of Grimes are thankful to be able to play a role in this community. At Kennybrook Village, we have so many rockstar employees who make the community what it is. This award goes to them for the incredible care they provide for our residents.”

Kennybrook Village plans to invest even more into the Grimes community soon by providing opportunities for future career opportunities and job shadowing.
