Retirement Community Residents and High School Seniors Hang Out with Iowa Wild Players

Senior residents of retirement community Kennybrook Village had a fun intergenerational event this past Thursday, February 23rd with students of Dallas Center-Grimes High School.

The event was sponsored by Kennybrook Village who partners with the Iowa Wild hockey team. It gave the residents and high schoolers the chance to meet a couple players of the team along with their mascot, Crash. The Iowa Wild players along with the students and residents played a floor hockey game at Dallas Center-Grimes High School and were entertained by Crash!

“Intergenerational activities bring an awareness and age appreciation for everyone involved. The students and residents had a fun time visiting and playing hockey. It was entertaining to see everyone interact with one another.” said Teresa “We want to thank Scott Blum, DC-G High School Principal and Adam McDonnell, DC-G Physical Education instructor for organizing the students and allowing us to utilize their gym. We have a great partnership with the DC-G school system.”
